Plan and section of the installation with productivity 30 m3/day for treatment of waste water containing organic pollutants on BOD5 100-350 mg/l, suspended solids 100-300 mg/l is shown in picture.
Wastewater is sent to the mesh container installed in the mixing chamber, where they are mixed with the sludge mixture from aerotank. The mixture is then fed with the help of circulating pump to biofilter irrigation system. Falling liquid jets irrigate of the biofilter loading from ceramic balls with developed roughness and grooves, the axes which converge in the center of balls. Sorption and oxidation of 60-80% of organic impurities take place in biofilter. Oxidation of the rest of the organic contaminants (20-30%) takes place in the aerotank reaction zone. Next, the clarified water is sent into the bioreactor of after-treatment with artificial load, and then-into the installation of UV disinfection. Regeneration of bioreactor loading and sediment removal is carried out periodically by a pump. Waste activated sludge is periodically pumped into the sludge tank from where it is discharged to special places, agreed with the bodies of sanitary surveillance. The device operates in automatic mode, and is serviced periodically by one person man.
