Installations for Used Air Processing
Air used in aeration facilities brings about 20 thousand living colonies of microorganisms, 6% of which are pathogenic. It also contains mercaptan and ammonia. Therefore, sewage treatment facilities of the future must be fully automated, operated by a minimum number of staff and have a reliable system of air disinfection, decontamination and deodorization.
When the sewage treatment plants’ performance is up to 10000 m3/day it is recommended to direct air from the devices of fine mechanical treatment, sand traps, CW, bioreactors first at the cellular pocket filters, then cellular folded filters, then depending on the odor at UV-installations with ozone-free and ozone-producing lamps.
When the performance of sewage treatment facilities is over 10000 m3/day it is recommended first to fulfill wet air purification, and then – purification within UV- disinfection installation. While emergency the technological scheme of air processing is supported by activated carbon filter.
