Excess Sludge Processing Technology
The use of fine mechanical purification (instead of more familiar sediment areas) in residential sewage treatment technological systems as well as high degree of discharged exceed sludge mineralization (ash content 33-38%) exclude the possibility of further rotten enzymes appearance, preventing its use as fertilizer. The use of devices that provide high-quality deworming, granulation and drying of sludge, produces high-quality balance for nutrients granular fertilizer.
In accordance with the scheme, sludge from CW is sent to a thickener 1, which is fed coagulants and flocculants by pipeline 2. Compacted sediment is discharged to the belt filter press 3, where the cake is formed with a given humidity 75-85%. Dewatered cake is sent to the granulator 4, which is connected to supply line of organic and mineral supplements 5 (bark, sawdust, husk, mineral fertilizers). Then the pellets are fed to the roller conveyor 6 with the heating elements 7. With the help of microwave emitters 8, installed above the conveyor, further drying and de-worming granules occurs. The granules are finally discharged into holding tank 9.
